A Digital Society EE is a 4,000-word academic research paper. The biggest mistake students make is writing an ITGS-style essay that just describes technology. A successful Digital Society EE must focus on the human, ethical, and societal implications.

A winning question looks more like this: "To what extent has the mandatory deployment of biometric surveillance technology in secondary institutions altered the ethical power dynamics between administration and the student body?"
