The History Syllabus, Broken Down
Source skills, world-history themes, and (at HL) a regional deep-dive. Here's how History is built, and where essays are won.
The current History guide has been examined since May 2017. It combines source-based study (Paper 1), world-history topics (Paper 2) and, at HL, an in-depth regional option (Paper 3), plus an independent historical investigation. The course develops the analysis and argument that transfer to law, politics and the humanities.
